Ohio Legislative Black Caucus Foundation

The Ohio Legislative Black Caucus Foundation (OLBCF) is Ohio’s leading Black think tank, committed to advancing equity, justice, and opportunity for Black communities. For over 30 years, OLBCF has driven policy change, challenged systemic barriers, and empowered Black Ohioans to thrive. Through non-partisan research, community engagement, and strategic initiatives, OLBCF advocates for policies that promote justice and dismantle systemic inequities. Their work includes supporting grassroots efforts, empowering leaders, and providing resources to uplift Black communities across the state.

Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies

The Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies (OACAA) represents a network of 48 local agencies serving all 88 counties in Ohio. Committed to alleviating poverty and empowering low-income families, OACAA provides training, technical assistance, and advocacy to its member agencies. Through programs like job training, housing assistance, and early childhood education, OACAA works to create pathways to self-sufficiency and improve the well-being of Ohio's communities.

National Community Action Partnership

The National Community Action Partnership (NCAP) is a national, 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization that provides technical assistance, training, and other resources to Community Action Agencies. NCAP's mission is to ensure the causes and conditions of poverty are effectively addressed and to strengthen, promote, represent, and serve the Community Action Network. Through initiatives like the Community Action Academy and the Whole Family Approach, NCAP equips agencies with tools to address poverty's root causes and promote economic mobility. Their commitment to equity and community empowerment makes them a vital partner in building resilient communities nationwide.

National Community Action Foundation

The National Community Action Foundation (NCAF) is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization serving as the federal advocate for the nationwide network of Community Action Agencies (CAAs). Established in 1981 by CAAs to prevent the dismantling of the Community Action network, NCAF played a pivotal role in creating the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), ensuring sustained federal-to-local funding to combat poverty. Funded solely by non-governmental contributions, NCAF continues to champion policies and programs that empower local communities to address poverty's root causes.

Advocates for Ohio’s Future

Advocates for Ohio’s Future (AOF) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan coalition representing over 500 state and local organizations focused on health, human services, and early care and education. Since its founding in 2003, AOF has worked to strengthen families and communities by promoting public policies and budget investments that support essential services. Through education, collaboration, and advocacy, AOF amplifies the voices of Ohioans in need, aiming to influence public opinion and state leadership to create a more equitable and prosperous Ohio. Their platform is centered on supporting healthy families, strong communities, and economic security for all.

Economic Mobility Alliance Ohio (EMAO) is a statewide coalition committed to dismantling systemic barriers that limit economic advancement for working families across Ohio. Formed in 2024, EMAO focuses on addressing the “benefits cliff,” where slight increases in income can lead to the sudden loss of public assistance, leaving individuals worse off financially. By uniting advocacy, workforce development, research, and human service organizations, EMAO works to raise awareness, advocate for policy change, and promote solutions that ensure Ohioans can achieve long-term economic stability without being penalized for improving their financial situation.
